Memory Keeping | Pingree Park

I've been on a mission to catch up on my 2016 album before the Holiday season arrives. Not quite sure I will make it though...but I am making progress and so I am hopeful!

I've been keeping the same format these last two years- which is one full 9x12 page then a pocket page and repeat. Occasionally I will throw in a half sized insert in between the full page and the pocket page. I do this for each month or event depending on what I have for photos.

This was a camping trip we took early on in the summer. I am a sucker for any product with trees, mountains and a general outdoors theme (living in Colorado does that to you) so this Studio Calico kit had my name all over it. I wasn't sure about the envelopes at first but I love how this turned out! The small tags sticking out of each envelope on the side are from a Pink Paislee collection several years ago. Oh, and the 'R' in park...since the kit only came with one 'R' I took an R from another set of chipboard (from a previous SC kit) and then carefully removed the gold foiling from other letters and glued them on top of the R. Making it work but really wish I had a second gold 'R'.

I tried down a pocket page as an additional insert to the layout since I had a lot of photos on this one.

One thing I want to work on is slowing down and writing more in my albums. Anyone else feel like since they mainly use the computer that writing has gotten difficult? As in physically difficult. For some reason I get a pen in my hand and I just want to hurry up and get whatever it is down on paper and then it comes out not so readable. Something to work on.

Here is to progress! Now on to the remainder of the summer and then fall!
