I realize this is two posts in a row from me...which is way more than my usual! Ha! But I really can't help how excited I am about this new venture and am so happy and grateful for those who commented yesterday over here, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Really I am so thankful!
Thank you all SO much everyone for the kind comments. I really had no idea how it would be received and I was a nervous wreck thinking about it! Today is the official release day and so you can now head on over to the Carta Bella page to see the entire line here!
This morning I had tears rolling down my face- partly because of my aunt who messaged me this morning telling me congratulations. I explained to her how the name behind the kit, Hello Again. The kit was actually named something else originally. I ended up liking Hello Again more than the original name so it worked out. I told her how it was inspired by my late grandmother (whom I refer to as Mema) who loved Neil Diamond. Then she preceeded to tell me how that was perfect since the release date was on the anniversary of her passing. Oh, my...that was too much for me! What a mess I was- I have a difficult time remembering dates and so I never even realized what day it was until she told me. Such happy thoughts though knowing how it all came together like this.
I wanted to share some of my favorite pages from this kit...I know you can easily go see it on the Carta Bella page but I can't help sharing a bit here.
Obviously the 3x4 cards are going to be one of my favorites because I am a Project Lifer! I love how these came together and this was one of my favorite papers to work on! It just came more naturally to me than the patterned papers because I was used to doing smaller formats.
This chevron was one of my first papers I did. I love how it can be used as a background or accent paper.
You know how you picture something in your head and then someone else pictures it differently? Well, I had this entire stationery theme going in my mind (memo pads, stamps, glue bottle, typewriter...) and just assumed that it was obvious that these were feather pens. But several people called them darts- which, they do look like darts so it makes perfect sense. I actually like them as darts or pens so it works for me!
This paper is one of my favorites, even though it is pretty basic! I have every intention of filling in those little white spaces as if they were labels! I think it would be fun to cut them up too!
Okay...I had to narrow this down to five papers I love or else this post is going to be entirely too long! Because honestly I like all the papers so much.
I know word bubbles are all over the place right now (and actually it took me a while to warm up to them) but I love how this paper turned out! I think these will be super fun to cut out and use on cards and as little accents on a page!
Stickers! These were so much fun to do and I can hardly wait to use them! See the little paper doll chain at the bottom...the center pieces come out as hearts! So there is a bunch of little watercolored heart stickers too! I really love how all of these turned out and I see myself using up the whole sheet quite easily whether it be on layouts or cards!
There is a 6x6 pad too (which is so fun!) I forgot all about it until I looked at the Carta Bella page last night!
Now I have been totally slacking on my to do list these last few days as I got ready for all of this so I am going to try to tackle that! Thank you all again and again!
